Roro AB ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of users of our mobile game app, Hello Home. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use Hello Home (“the app”) currently available via TestFlight (iOS) and Google Play’s Closed Testing Track (Android) for users who opt-in as testers and on the App Store and Google Play for select regions of the world.

2. Platforms and Availability

Hello Home is currently available through Apple TestFlight and Google Play’s Closed Testing Track for external testing purposes. As of October 2025, the app will also be distributed to select regions of the world via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

3. Data Collection and Use

Currently, we do not transmit or collect any personal information or device data from within the app. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for user consent as needed.

We use crash and performance data automatically collected by the mobile operating system (as mentioned in Section 4) solely for analyzing and improving the technical stability, performance, and health of the app. This technical data is non-identifying and is not linked to your email address or personal identity.

Website Data Collection

We do however, collect and process email addresses from individuals who voluntarily sign up to our mailing list via our website. These emails are collected solely for the purpose of sending newsletters and updates about the game, including news about releases, new features, and testing opportunities.

Users can unsubscribe from these communications at any time via the link in the email, and their data will be deleted from our list.
We rely on user consent as our legal basis for collecting and processing email addresses via our sign-up form, and for the use of cookies and analytics tools (further informed in Third-Party Services). You may withdraw your consent at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

Currently, we do not use any third-party analytics, advertising tools or cloud services within the app.

We do use services provided by:

  • Apple (TestFlight, App Store) to distribute iOS builds and manage testing.

  • Google (Google Groups, Google Play Console, Google Analytics) to distribute Android builds and manage testing. For analytic tools.

  • Squarespace to host our website and process Newsletter subscriptions. For analytic tools.

These providers act as independent data controllers or processors under their own privacy policies. We limit the personal data shared to the minimum necessary to provide our services.

SquareSpace Website

Our website is hosted and managed through SquareSpace. When you submit your email address through our mailing list sign-up form, that information is processed and stored by Squarespace on our behalf. Squarespace acts as a data processor and does not use your personal information for its own purposes. For more details, please see Squarespace’s Privacy Policy.

Analytics and Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the site. We have implemented a cookie consent banner to give visitors control over which cookies are activated.

We also use Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics, web analytics services, to understand how visitors interact with our site. These analytics services collect information such as browser types, pages visited, and technical identifiers like IP addresses (which are considered personal data in some jurisdictions) to help us analyze website traffic and improve the user experience.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data for marketing or advertising purposes.

We only share personal data with service providers as necessary to operate the app and website (e.g. Apple, Google, Squarespace).

6. Children’s Privacy

Our app is intended for a general audience, including users aged 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not use our app or provide any personal data.

If we learn that a child has shared personal information with us via this website that is in violation of applicable laws, we will delete that information unless retaining it is necessary to meet our legal obligations (such as complying with a lawful investigation) or to safeguard the integrity of our services.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Emails collected for newsletters are stored securely by Squarespace on our behalf and are retained until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, your email is removed from our active mailing list.

Backup copies are retained for a maximum of 90 days in accordance with our processor's (Squarespace's) internal data cycling policies to ensure complete removal.

We do not retain or store any user data within the app itself.

8. International Data Transfers

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, please note that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your home jurisdiction, including the United States.

Some of our service providers (such as Squarespace and Google) store or process data on servers located outside the EEA/UK. Where such transfers occur, we rely on legal safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms to help ensure that your data remains protected in line with applicable laws.

By providing your information, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to countries with different data protection laws than your home country.

9. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom or California, you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to:

  • Access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data

  • Withdraw your consent at any time (e.g., via unsubscribe link)

We take reasonable steps to protect any personal data we handle, including email addresses. However, no method of transmission over the internet or storage is completely secure.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top. When we make changes to this Policy, users will be notified through our Devlog (on our website) and we’ll seek renewed consent if required. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
