Mc Bling and Universal coloring!

Summer came and went...But something brand new has landed instead! The team must've adapted a "more is more" mentality over the summer, as we've cooked up the fabulously luxurious Mc Bling item pack! The pack contains nostalgic nods to blingy flip-phones and velour clad furniture and more!

What’s new?

We've launched two new features in this update, alongside a new pack.

Universal coloring

  • 200+ colors are now available on virtually all items!

  • Default swatches has been added - change all colors of an item in one tap!

Duplicate

  • We’ve added the possibility to duplicate any items in your room!

New pack!

  • Mc Bling pack with items in 4 different categories and new wall paint, wallpaper and flooring

Improvements and bug fixes

  • We've added a settings menu where you can control the haptics, music volume and sounds effects volume

  • Added links to our social media

  • Added links to our privacy policy, credits and "help and support" pages on our website

  • Changed "Tap to start" to "Continue" in the start screen. this sends you to the room you last played.

  • Added a "Offline mode" information pop-up.

  • Menus will now show your default and current selection when customizing the walls, panelling and floors.

  • We fixed other little bugs but do help us find more! Sending feedback through TestFlight, answering our surveys linked in the FAQ or chatting with us on Discord are the best ways to reach us!

Development progress and updates

Coming back from summer we have big plans that we've picked back up, shuffled around, re-prioritized and worked on. We try as best we can to stay in tune with what our community needs, wants and expects. We'd like to share some of the exciting stuff that's happening behind the scenes with Hello Home.

Undo/Redo

This feature has always to some extent felt obvious. We want to make sure that the decorating and customizing experience can flow effortlessly, and help our players when something happens by mistake. We're currently diligently testing and and finding solutions that will not only enhance the game play, but also be a robustly built feature that can stand the test against new features we might add.

Item variants

We are in the design and planning phase of a new feature we like to call "item variants". We imagine that our game will keep expanding and more and more items will be added. That fact combined with our aspirations to offer more variety and customization to our game, lead us down a path that'll give some breathing room in the inventory and brand new item styles that we can explore.

The concept is being able to shuffle through different meshes of a singular item. For example a single bed and a double with the exact same style. We've done the task of mapping out what we currently have and possible variants we'd like to explore. Below is a picture of the extensive round-up of all the items we have and items that are coming in the future!
